Despite what Roy was hinting, Edward managed to somehow keep his composure, though there was still a bright blush at the suggestion. "Yeah, I was trying to think of another word for Royal Pain in the Ass!" He snorted. Obviously, the double entendre of what he had said had gone over his head. "But I wouldn't have had access to everything I did without him pulling strings for me, so I guess friend." He took a long sip of his beer and finished it. Ed had become a slightly better liar with age when it came to things like this -- so it was hard to tell if Edward was lying or not, especially given his naiveness.

"What about you and Hawkeye?" Two could play at this game. They were always strangely close. And, it would perhaps clue Ed into if they were really a thing, or not. There was a smirk on his lips as his hand picked up the glass of whiskey and just held it. "Or, like, the countless women..." He trailed off, knowing he would know damn well what he meant.
